AI tool

Username generator

Get username ideas for Instagram or TikTok that fit each app's length and character rules, then check if they're free. Free, no sign-up.

AI can make mistakes, so read it before you post.

How it works

How to use it

  1. Enter a name

Your name, brand or nickname, plus what you post about if you like.

  2. Pick a style

Playful, professional, short or creative, or a mix.

  3. Check and copy

Each idea shows its length and whether it fits the rules. Open the profile address to see if it's free.

Tips

  • Short, easy-to-spell names are easier to find and tag.
  • Use the same handle on every platform if you can, so people find you anywhere.
  • Avoid other brands' names. Platforms can take a name back if it infringes a trademark.

FAQ

Common questions

What characters can I use?

On Instagram: Instagram's help center says you can use letters, numbers, periods and underscores (Instagram Help Center). It doesn't publish a maximum length; 30 characters is the widely reported cap, so ideas here stay at 30 or fewer. On TikTok: TikTok's help center says usernames can only use letters, numbers, underscores and periods, and can't end with a period (TikTok Help Center). Its 24-character cap is widely reported but not on that page, so ideas here stay at 24 or fewer.

Can you tell me if a username is taken?

No. We can't see other accounts. "Check if it's free" opens that profile address in a new tab: if no account shows up, the name may be free, and the app tells you for sure when you try to save it.

Is it really free?

Yes. You can use the AI tools 10 times an hour and 25 times a day in total, without signing up. The limit keeps them free for everyone.

Which AI writes this, and do you keep what I type?

It runs on a DeepSeek model through OpenRouter, sent only to providers that keep no copy and don't train on it. We don't store or log what you type. To enforce the free limit we keep a counter tied to a scrambled version of your IP address, and it's deleted within 2 days. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
