Media requirements, and videos that won't upload
tenfeeds takes common photo and video files. Each platform then has its own rules, and tenfeeds checks them before it posts.
Files tenfeeds accepts
- Photos: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and HEIC, up to 30 MB. HEIC photos work when your browser can open them. If one won't open, save it as JPEG and try again.
- Videos: MP4 and MOV, up to 4 GB.
- Up to 20 photos or videos in one post.
What tenfeeds does to your files
- Photos are turned into JPEG on your device before they upload, because some platforms only take JPEG. Very large photos are scaled down to 4,096 pixels on the longest side.
- GIFs stay as they are, so they keep their animation.
- Transparent parts of a PNG become white.
- Videos upload as they are. tenfeeds doesn't shrink or convert them.
- Keep the page open until uploads finish.

- "That photo couldn't be opened. Try a JPEG or PNG." Save the photo as JPEG or PNG and add it again.
- "That video couldn't be opened. Try an MP4 or MOV." Export the video as MP4 and add it again.
- "Photos can be up to 30 MB." or "Videos can be up to 4 GB." Make the file smaller.
- A file shows "Didn't upload". Remove it with × and add it again. Check your internet connection.
- "The upload didn't finish. Try again." Add the file again.
