How it works

How to use it

  1. Write or paste your post

Then select the words you want to change.

  2. Style and add lists

Bold, italic, underline or strikethrough, plus bullet and numbered lists.

  3. Check the preview and copy

See where "see more" cuts it off, then copy the post into LinkedIn.

Tips

  • Bold one line, not whole paragraphs. A little goes a long way.
  • Keep names, hashtags and keywords plain. Search won't match styled letters.
  • Put your main point before the "see more" cut.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I bold text on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn has no bold button. This tool swaps your letters for Unicode letters that look bold, so they keep their look when you paste them into a post.

Will everyone see the formatting?

On almost every phone and computer. Some very old devices show empty boxes instead.

Is styled text accessible and searchable?

Not fully. Screen readers may read styled letters one by one or skip them, and search won't match them. Use it for a word or a line, not for names or keywords.

How long can a LinkedIn post be?

Up to 3,000 characters (LinkedIn Help). LinkedIn says text over about 150 characters may be cut off with "see more" (LinkedIn ad specs); the preview cuts there.

Is anything I enter sent to you?

No. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type or upload reaches our servers.
