Reconnect an account
Sometimes a platform ends tenfeeds' access to an account. When that happens, tenfeeds can't post to it until you connect it again.
How you'll know
- A banner at the top of tenfeeds says the account needs to be connected again, with a Fix it link.
- On Accounts, the account shows Reconnect.
- Posts to that account show Reconnect needed.
- You can't pick the account in New post until it's reconnected.
- If a post fails because of it and failure emails are on in Settings, we email you.
Reconnect
Tap Reconnect. You see the same screen as when you first connected. Tick the box, continue to the platform, and allow tenfeeds again. Log in as the same account. It comes back in the same place in tenfeeds.
Scheduled posts to that account go out as planned if you reconnect before their time. Posts that failed while the account was signed out don't go out on their own. Check Posts and make them again in New post.
Why it happens
- LinkedIn sign-ins last 60 days. We email you about a week before one ends.
- You changed your password on the platform, or removed tenfeeds in its settings.
- You turned off a permission on the platform's screen when you connected. Connect again and keep every permission on.
- Facebook: you no longer have access to create content on the Page, or Facebook wants you to finish a security check at facebook.com first.
- Instagram: the account was switched to a personal account. tenfeeds needs a Business or Creator account.
- Bluesky: the account moved to a different server.
If you removed tenfeeds in your Facebook, Instagram, Threads or TikTok settings, tenfeeds disconnects that account. To use it again, connect it again from Accounts.
